QueenSoulVibesSA: A Journey of Positive Vibes in the South African Reggae Dancehall Scene

QueenSoulVibesSA is an Events/Social Media/Blogger Promotions Company founded in 2010 by Twin Sisters, 'KhosiQueen' Sekano and 'SoulSista' Sekano, with a heartfelt mission to cultivate a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere within the South African reggae dancehall scene. Our journey began in Sebokeng, Southern Gauteng, where our love for reggae music was nurtured by our father's eclectic collection, which introduced us to legends like Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, and Lucky Dube.

Inspired by our upbringing, we ventured into the entertainment industry by championing local reggae artists on social media platforms and capturing candid moments at reggae dancehall events in Johannesburg, which soon led us to being acknowledged as go-to photographers by event organizers. This recognition opened doors for us to partake in promoting shows and events across the city.

Our high school years saw us immersing ourselves in the vibrant hip-hop culture in Johannesburg CBD, laying the foundation for our future involvement in the music scene. Upon completing our education in Travel and Tourism Management and Sound Engineering, our encounter with 'Lasbon Shatta,' a prominent reggae dancehall DJ/MC, at the Tandoor nightclub ignited our profound connection with reggae and dancehall music.

Through collaborations with Lioness Productions and People of the Sun Productions, we organized impactful events and had the privilege of working alongside esteemed figures in the reggae community, nurturing emerging talent along the way. The launch of our website in 2021 marked a significant milestone, offering a platform for reggae and dancehall enthusiasts not only in South Africa but also across Zimbabwe, Ghana, Kenya, and Malawi, U.S.A, and Uganda,

QueenSoulVibes SA’s aim is to take the vibrant energy of reggae dancehall and dub to diverse communities across various provinces, spreading positivity and unity through music. Guided by our mantra of "Positive Vibes." Our hard work and vision propelled us to no.8 spot on the “Top 10 South African Hip - Hop RSS Feed” to follow.

QueenSoulVibe SA is a beacon of reggae culture, dedicated to bringing the vibrant sounds and rich heritage of reggae music to the forefront. Our journey through the world of reggae has been marked by our extensive media coverage of some of the genre's most iconic events.
