C WYNE NALUKALALA is a Dancehall and Reggae artist based in Uganda Raised in the vibrant neighborhoods of Kireka, Kampala, C Wyne Nalukalala channels the spirit of Uganda’s ghetto youth through his music. While “Nalukalala” means “troublemaker” in Luganda, C Wyne proudly identifies as 100% Rasta—a conviction that has earned him the name Omuyekera (Rebel), which also inspired the name of his music collective, Tsunami High Rebels Crew. Also known as Jah Rebel, C Wyne is a veteran of Uganda’s Dancehall scene, rising to prominence with early hits such as Cease And Sekkle (2009) and Vibes Of War (2013).
Skilled in both Roots Reggae and high-energy Bashment Dancehall, C Wyne is considered one of the most talented and versatile artists Uganda’s competitive music industry has produced. His lyrics often address themes of social justice, resilience, and empowerment—reflecting both the struggles and hopes of his community. Unlike many contemporary Dancehall singers in Uganda, C Wyne stands for heritage, morals, and positive consciousness in a musical landscape often dominated by vanity and violence.
