CALL FOR SPEAKERS, EXHIBITORS, PERFORMING MUSICIANS, AND FILMS TO SCREEN AT THE MUSIC IMBIZO 2023 (TUESDAY 29 AUGUST – SATURDAY 02 SEPTEMBER, DURBAN – SOUTH AFRICA)
The Music Imbizo is an international music business conference and exhibition that includes a film festival. The conference will be hosted in a number of venues in Durban (South Africa) from Tuesday 29 August till Saturday 02 September 2023.
The Music Imbizo collects various music industry stakeholders under one roof to map new and exciting ways for the music industry in the African continent. It is a platform to exhibit, network, and share expertise and knowledge whilst doing business. For the performing artists, it provides a stage in front of the most influential people in the value chain of the music business plus gives the artists opportunities to experiment with their audience development.
The conference has grown to attract local and international thought leaders, musicians, brands, partners, and sponsors. Yet, The Music Imbizo still finds room to accommodate the industry novice with the relevant workshops, meetings, master classes, and forums to navigate their entry into the music business. In 14 years, the conference has hosted over 600 speakers from over 50 countries plus hundreds of musicians and exhibitors.

In 2023, The Music Imbizo is celebrating 15 years and will have a number of programs plus activities that highlight why the conference insists that MUSIC IS BUSINESS TO MY EARS and THE MUSIC IMBIZO – THE MOST IMPORTANT MUSIC BUSINESS CONFERENCE IN THE CONTINENT. In celebrating 15 years, the conference will seek to build more bridges into the many countries in the continent, therefore creating opportunities for industry players across Africa.
And as is the norm, The Music Imbizo is calling for industry players and companies that would like to participate in the conference in 2023. The call is for speakers, exhibitors, musicians plus filmmakers with music-related films. DELEGATE TICKETS: The Very Early, Early Bird tickets are available from the website at close to 60% discount.
Delegates are then able to attend the conference, the film festival and the evening showcases with the ticket. The ticket also allows the holder to participate in several competitions throughout the conference.
