Inspired by Yeza’s upbringing on Star of the East Lane in Bull Bay, Jamaica, the album serves as a bold declaration of identity, resilience, and cultural pride. Yeza explains that her environment and experiences in Bull Bay are the foundation of *Star of the East*, shaping its themes and energy. “That road, that environment, that energy… it is the root of the album. The life I lived there, and the perspective I’ve gained from it, shape everything in this project,” she shares.
