DJ Blakkha

Oupa Mosiye aka Dj Blakkha, born 23rd September 1987 is a versatile DJ specializing in Reggae Dancehall, Hip Hop,  Afrobeat, Kwaito, and House music. He was born and bred in Sebokeng a township in Southern Gauteng, South Africa near the industrial city of Vanderbijlpark and Vereeniging. He is the son of Pascalina Selloane Mosiye. It was during his Secondary/High School years that he became a rapper; it was only in 2007 when he became interested in Reggae/Dancehall Music. He, therefore, abandoned the Hip Hop game entirely to commence hosting Reggae/DAncehall shows around the township of Eatonside where his single mother and siblings reside. He met Best Reggae Album SAMA25 winner Nkululeko Madolo aka Black Dillinger in 2015; who had relocated from Cape Town his home Province on a mission to assist Up And Coming Reggae/Dancehall Artists in the area. After a few stints selecting for the "12 Star General," he was later appointed as his full-time backing DJ. During this period, Dj Blakkha became a Resident DJ at the Stone Bar in Vereeniging, Hind Sight Pub (Evaton), Putswastena Tavern (Eatonside), and Babs Tavern (Eatonside).

He has also backed and shared spotlights with South African And International Artists like Skeleton Blazer, Black Dillinger, Conquer Arson, Reason The Rapper, Momo Dread, Chantty Natural, Jah Mason (Jamaica), and Tydal Kamau (Jamaica)

Dj Blakkha is presently hosting Reggae/Dancehall shows along with Black Dillinger in and around Vaal. The first show they hosted was 'Jah Mason Live in Sebokeng' it was held at Exodus Park in Sebokeng; the show was self-funded. They've also hosted a show in Matlombe Lounge (Newtown) in Johannesburg Central, Hind Sight Pub in Vaal hosting well-known artists and DJs in the Reggae/Dancehall movement like DJ Pepe, DJ Fanta, Conquer Arson, and Momo Dread. He and Black Dillinger have traveled to some South African Provinces Under The Concept Of City To City Tour to promote Mzansi Reggae Dancehall.

In April 2021, he joined the Blackness Production Crew as a Coordinator/Artist Management working with the CEO/Founder Sammy Royal to coordinate all client's music releases including creating and keeping releases calendar, managing music, photoshoots, and liaising with Artists, Producers, and Engineers.
