About Bani Fyah
Born Banyana Alice, also known as Zion Dawta, Bani Fyah hails from Kabale, Uganda, and has become one of the most sought-after female composers, performers, and recording artists in East Africa. She first launched her career in 2013 as a DJ, playing live shows and radio stations across Uganda. In 2017, she recorded her debut project "Trust in Jah," which became a regional hit, solidifying her place in Uganda’s music scene.

Bani Fyah is also a co-founder of Njuba Village, a community-driven organization that fosters positive transformation through music, art, and fashion. She continues to support local artists and community members through music and literacy programs, living out her mission of upliftment and empowerment.
Inspired by her early exposure to reggae music as a DJ and selector, Bani Fyah's music reflects a unique blend of traditional and international sounds, always anchored in her personal experiences and the realities of her world. With this new EP, Bani Fyah offers a powerful reminder of her ability to create genre-defying music that speaks to love, resilience, and positivity.
